Residential Plots in Faisalabad
Compare residential plot sizes and indicative rates across the Sitara Group societies we deal in, learn how to choose between a 5 Marla and a 10 Marla plot, and see what to check before you book.
Plot Sizes Explained: Marla and Kanal
Residential land in Punjab is sold in Marla and Kanal. Under the standard revenue measure one Marla is 272.25 square feet and one Kanal is 20 Marla (5,445 square feet). Some developers define a Marla slightly differently in their brochures, so always ask for the plot's dimensions in feet and its total area in square feet in the written offer.
The size you choose should follow how you plan to use the plot, not only the budget. A smaller plot costs less in total and is easier to resell; a larger plot gives more room to build and tends to suit buyers who plan to live there.

Which Plot Size Suits You?
- 5 Marla: a compact family home, or a smaller-ticket investment that is generally easier to resell. See our guide to 5 and 10 Marla plots.
- 7 Marla: a middle option for families who want more room than 5 Marla without the cost of 10 Marla (offered in Sitara Supreme City).
- 10 Marla: a spacious home with room for a garden or parking; popular with families building to live in.
- 1 Kanal and 2 Kanal: large plots for bigger homes or farmhouse-style living (offered in the Wadi-e-Sitara extension).
What to Check Before You Book a Residential Plot
- Ask for the society's approval and the plot's allotment or ownership papers, and have your own lawyer review them.
- Get the price list, booking amount, instalments and all other charges in writing, with dates.
- Visit the plot: check road access, the block, and whether the plot is corner, park-facing or on a main road, which changes the price.
- Confirm possession and transfer timelines and charges before you pay.
- Pay against an official receipt every time, and keep your own record.
